About Golden Triangle
Golden Triangle is a pan-asian restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 610 S 5th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Philadelphia, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 12β9:45 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Golden Triangle at (267) 930-7990; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is goldentrianglepa.net, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 105 reviews, which is a strong result for a pan-asian restaurant in Philadelphia and suggests consistent service.
Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was actually really disappointed with the food; it is very bland and oily. We expected a 4.5 star taste but got a mediocre mealβ maybe a 3.5 star, if even? We live in the neighborhood and will try green basil on 2/South next. Itβs edible just mediocre and not tasty at all.

somehow, ordering veggie samosas and fried rice for pickup will run you $27. this doesnβt even include tipping the staff. so, two items will run you nearly $30. thatβs THIRTY dollars. seriously..???? i understand youβd like to make money but this is ridiculous. itβs not sustainable. and it certainly is not justified in terms of the quality and experience. how are people getting away with thisβ¦?

I havenβt even tried my food yet / but a single order of green curry chicken cost me $18. Judge from there. Assuming itβs amazing - thatβs still a crazy price for pickup. I walked in, ordered, paid cash and walked out with one meal for $18. Wonβt likely be back.

Absolutely incredible !!! Small place with a great vibe inside, and the food is just to die for. There were two other tables of people when we were there and they both told us how incredible this place is and the dishes they recommended and that they come here all the time. I'll definitely be back!! I had the sambal sauce Malaysian entree with shrimp and it was sooo delicious, and I usually am not a huge fan of shrimp but it was cooked so perfectly and fit the flavor palette so well. 5 stars!!!

Diving into Golden Triangle unveils not just a meal, but a passport to a culinary expedition specializing in the Southeast Asian flavors of Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Tucked away in the heart of Philly, this humble gem offers an intimate escape to distant lands with its quiet, casual ambiance and a cozy dining room that boasts no more than eight tables. Our adventure began with the Malaysian classic, Roti Canai -- a delightfuly crispy, flaky, chewy marvel that serves as a prelude to the symphony of flavors awaiting us. Paired with a rich curry chicken potato dip, this dish was a standing ovation in the making. Then came the Sambal Shrimp, a bold ensemble of shrimp reveling in a spicy brown sauce, creating a festival of taste that had every fork in the room longing for an encore. The Beef Rendang, while a masterpiece of flavor and tenderness with its slow-cooked, aromatic curry, left us longing for a second act, as the disappointing portion size was more of a soliloquy than a full-fledged aria. Despite the small dining room, Golden Triangle played the perfect host to our group of six (including a baby car seat), accommodating us at their sole large table--a testament to th
